Outdoor SIP Video Door Station

The Fanvil A12V is an outdoor SIP video intercom (door station) with a 4MP camera, IP66 weather rating, and IK10 impact rating. RFID access, two SIP accounts, IR for night calls, and a loud speaker are typical of this class. Power is PoE+; do not feed it from a 15 W 802.3af port if the datasheet requires at. Mount it on a gate post or wall box with the correct rain hood if Fanvil offers one. Pair it with an indoor IP phone, Fanvil indoor monitor, or an IP PBX such as Grandstream UCM.

Additionally, SIP means the station is a phone endpoint, not a proprietary-only kit. Therefore it can call a hunt group or a mobile via the PBX. However, unlock relays still need a lock power supply and correct NO/NC wiring. Consequently, treat the A12V as the station and budget the maglock separately. IK10 helps against vandalism; it does not replace a proper gate frame and tamper switch.

Additionally, use outdoor-rated Cat6 and a surge device on long runs. Therefore do not share the lock PSU with the PoE switch earth in a messy way. However, test the relay current against the maglock coil. Consequently, add a separate lock controller if the station relay is dry-contact only.
