The Drom AAA Rechargeable Battery is a 1.2 V nickel-metal hydride cell in the AAA form factor. It replaces single-use alkaline cells in remotes, controllers and small electronics. Each cell accepts up to 2,000 charge cycles before capacity falls away.

NiMH chemistry holds a nominal 1.2 V across most of the discharge curve. That voltage suits devices designed for 1.5 V alkaline pairs, which tolerate the lower cell voltage in normal use. The cells arrive ready to charge and retain stored energy for up to five years under proper storage conditions.

A low self-discharge formulation limits standby loss between charges. Users can rotate a spare pair through a drawer for months without a top-up. The steel can and sealed separator resist leakage during storage and normal discharge. Operating range spans 0 °C to 40 °C during charge and -20 °C to 50 °C during discharge.
