Description
Sealed Backup Block for UPS and Alarm Panels
The Drom Power 12V 7Ah is a valve-regulated lead-acid block that supplies standby energy to UPS units, alarm panels and access control hardware. Absorbed glass mat separators hold the electrolyte against the plates, so the case never needs topping up. F1 or F2 spade terminals land on standard 4.8 mm or 6.3 mm Faston tabs.
Nominal voltage is 12 V DC with a 7 Ah rating at the 20-hour rate. The block measures 151 x 65 x 94 mm and weighs 2.3 kg. An ABS case houses six cells, and the sealed body permits side mounting in tight cabinets.
Float charging runs at 13.6 to 13.8 V and cyclic charging at 14.4 to 14.7 V, both at 25 °C. Maximum charge current is 2.1 A. Discharge operation spans -15 °C to +50 °C, with float life of three to five years on standby duty.
Key Features
AGM Valve-Regulated Construction
Glass mat separators immobilise the electrolyte and recombine gases during charging, so no water is added.Discharge Capacity Across Rates
- 7.0 Ah at the 20-hour rate to a 10.5 V cut-off.
- 6.8 Ah at 10 hours, 6.2 Ah at 5 hours and 4.8 Ah at 1 hour.
Spade Terminal Options
F1 and F2 tabs mate with common UPS harnesses and alarm panel leads without adapters.Position-Independent Mounting
The sealed ABS case allows upright or side installation inside wall boxes and rack trays.Cycle and Float Service Life
Expect 300 to 500 cycles at 50% depth of discharge and three to five years on continuous float charge.Charge Voltage Windows
13.6–13.8 V float and 14.4–14.7 V cycle limits protect the plates on chargers built for standby duty.Temperature Compensation
A -20 mV/°C coefficient adjusts charge voltage when cabinets run hot or cold.

What’s in the Box
12 V 7 Ah sealed lead-acid block
Why Choose This SLA Block
The 151 x 65 x 94 mm footprint drops into standard 7 Ah UPS bays and alarm enclosures without modification.
AGM recombination limits gas emission, which suits sealed wall boxes and rack cabinets.
Separate float and cycle voltage windows protect plate life on chargers designed for standby service.
A 2.1 A maximum charge current matches small UPS chargers and solar controllers.
Side mounting and a 2.3 kg mass simplify field replacement in tight installations.
The block covers UPS, fire alarm, access control, emergency lighting and telecom backup duties.
