Description
DDR2 Notebook Memory Module
The DDR2-8-NB1G 1GB SO-DIMM is a single 1 GB DDR2 module for notebooks with 200-pin memory slots. It runs at 800 MHz on the PC2-6400 speed grade. The module carries a 64-bit data path and draws from a 1.8 V rail.
The assembly uses unbuffered, non-ECC DDR2 SDRAM in a 128M x 64-bit organisation. JEDEC sets PC2-6400 at 6.4 GB/s peak bandwidth and CAS latency 6. The SPD chip stores the timing profile the host reads at boot, so actual latency follows the programmed table rather than a fixed figure.
Single-rank modules place one load per slot, which suits older chipsets that address two SO-DIMM sockets. Systems with a 32-bit address limit may report less than the full capacity once integrated graphics reserve memory. Check the platform datasheet for the maximum module size the chipset accepts.
Handle the module by its edges and discharge static before touching the contacts. Push the card into the slot until the side clips snap shut. Boot the machine and confirm the reported capacity, then run a memory test before returning the unit to service.
Key Features
800 MHz PC2-6400 Speed Grade
The module transfers at 6.4 GB/s peak across a 64-bit bus.200-Pin SO-DIMM Format
The card is about 67.6 mm wide and seats in laptop memory slots.1.8 V DDR2 Signalling
- JEDEC DDR2 supply rail at 1.8 V
- SSTL_18 interface levels
- Keyed notch separates it from DDR3 slots
Unbuffered Non-ECC Layout
The module suits consumer and business notebooks that do not require error correction.Single-Rank Organisation
A 128M x 64-bit layout puts one rank on the module for lighter slot loading.SPD Timing Table
An on-module EEPROM reports capacity and timings to the BIOS at power-up.

Why Choose This Notebook Module
The PC2-6400 grade matches the fastest DDR2 speed most notebook chipsets support.
A single-rank layout keeps socket loading low on two-slot boards.
The 200-pin keying prevents fitment in DDR3 or DDR4 sockets.
The SPD table lets the BIOS apply correct timings without manual entry.
One module per pack simplifies spare-parts stocking for repair benches.
