Description
Business-Class Windows Slate
The Mecer A105 BING tablet combines a 10.1-inch IPS TFT panel with an Intel Bay Trail quad-core processor for office and field work. It runs Windows 8.1 with Bing on 2 GB of DDR3L memory and 32 GB of eMMC storage. The 1280 x 800 resolution handles document review, email and line-of-business clients.
The capacitive panel registers ten simultaneous touch points and carries Gorilla Glass for scratch resistance. Intel HD Graphics drives the display and feeds a mini-HDMI port for projectors and desktop monitors. A microSD slot accepts cards up to 64 GB, which extends local storage beyond the internal flash.
Wireless connectivity covers 802.11 b/g/n for office and warehouse access points. A full-size USB port accepts keyboards, barcode scanners and printers without adapters. The micro-USB port handles charging and data transfer. An 8000 mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers roughly 8.5 hours of mixed use per charge.
The chassis weighs about 650 g and measures roughly 10 mm thick. A 5 MP rear camera captures images for inspections and delivery notes. IT teams can stage the device across retail counters, mobile point-of-sale points and service vans without building per-unit driver images. The tablet boots a standard Windows desktop, so existing management agents and group policy objects apply.
