Description
Six-Core Zen 4 Processor with Stacked Cache
The AMD Ryzen 5 7500X3D pairs six Zen 4 cores with 96 MB of L3 cache on the AM5 platform. AMD stacks 64 MB of 3D V-Cache over a 32 MB on-die array. Twelve threads run at a 4.0 GHz base clock and boost to 4.5 GHz.
The 65 W default TDP keeps thermal load modest for compact builds. The chip carries 6 MB of L2 cache and 384 KB of L1 across its cores. Precision Boost 2 manages clock scaling within the power and thermal envelope. Curve Optimizer and Precision Boost Overdrive remain available for manual tuning on supported boards.
Two DDR5 channels accept up to 128 GB of UDIMM memory, rated DDR5-5200 with two single-rank modules and DDR5-3600 with four dual-rank modules. The processor exposes PCIe 5.0 across 28 native lanes, 24 of them usable. Supported chipsets include A620, B650, B650E, X670, X670E, X870, X870E, B840 and B850.
Key Features
96 MB L3 Cache
The stacked 3D V-Cache array holds game assets and working sets close to the cores, which cuts memory trips in frame-rate sensitive titles.Six Cores and Twelve Threads
SMT doubles the thread count over six physical cores for parallel workloads and background services.65 W Default TDP
The processor stays inside a 65 W envelope at stock settings, so mid-range air coolers handle the heat load.AM5 Platform Support
- Socket AM5 with A620 through X870E chipsets
- DDR5 dual-channel memory, ECC supported with motherboard validation
- PCIe 5.0 for graphics cards and NVMe storage
Integrated Radeon Graphics
Two RDNA 2 compute units at 2200 MHz drive display output and provide a fallback during GPU servicing.Tuning Controls
EXPO memory profiles, Precision Boost Overdrive, Curve Optimizer and Ryzen Master remain available on supported boards.Instruction Set Coverage
AVX-512, AVX2, AES, SHA and AMD-V extensions cover encryption, virtualisation and vector workloads.89°C Thermal Limit
The Tjmax ceiling of 89°C defines the throttle point for cooler sizing decisions.

Why Choose the 7500X3D
The 96 MB cache pool lifts minimum frame rates in simulation, strategy and open-world titles.
A 65 W envelope suits small-form-factor chassis and low-noise office builds.
The AM5 socket spans budget A620 boards through X870E platforms, which supports staged upgrades.
Integrated Radeon output keeps a workstation usable while a discrete card is out for service.
PCIe 5.0 lanes and DDR5 memory give procurement a platform with a multi-year service window.

Solid chip for a mid-range build. Boot times are quick and the chip stays cool. Only issue is availability of AM5 boards when I was shopping, but that is not the processor’s fault.
Faith Muthoni (verified owner) –
Works well. Nothing to complain about.
Joseph Barasa (verified owner) –
The 3D V-Cache makes a difference in simulation workloads I run for research. Not the fastest on paper but the cache efficiency more than makes up for the lower clocks. Stock cooler would struggle, so I used a tower cooler.
Robert Owino (verified owner) –
Deployed this in two workstations for the video team. Export times improved, and the 65W TDP keeps the office UPS load low during load-shedding.
Daniel Kiptanui (verified owner) –
Six cores is fine for gaming but I would have liked more for heavy multitasking. No complaints on the gaming side though.
Sharon Achieng (verified owner) –
Good processor for the office rendering work we do. Blender renders noticeably faster than the 5600 it replaced. Runs cool even during long exports.
Kevin Mwangi (verified owner) –
Swapped my old AM4 chip for this on a B650 board. The 96MB cache shows up in game frame times, less stutter in busy areas. 65W rating means my cooler runs quiet under load.
Mercy Njoki (verified owner) –
Paired it with 32GB DDR5-6000 and a 4070. The system runs everything I throw at it. AM5 socket means I can upgrade the CPU later without a new board.
