Description
Zen 4 Desktop Processing Platform
The AMD Ryzen 5 7500F is a six-core Zen 4 desktop processor built for the AM5 socket. It runs six cores and twelve threads at a 3.7 GHz base clock with up to 5 GHz boost. The 32 MB L3 cache and 6 MB L2 cache serve gaming and content workloads. This F-suffix part ships without integrated graphics, so a discrete card is required.
Two TSMC dies sit under the heat spreader. A 5 nm compute die holds the Zen 4 cores, while a 6 nm I/O die carries the memory and PCIe controllers. The package exposes 28 native PCIe 5.0 lanes, 24 of them usable, plus four native USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports. Dual-channel DDR5 support addresses up to 128 GB.
Default TDP is 65 W and maximum operating temperature is 95 °C. The boxed package includes an AMD Wraith Stealth cooler. A620, B650, B650E, X670 and X670E chipsets all support the part. Precision Boost Overdrive, Curve Optimizer and EXPO memory profiles stay unlocked for tuning.
Key Features
Six Zen 4 Cores with SMT
Twelve threads share a 3.7 GHz base clock and reach 5 GHz on boost.Cache Hierarchy
- 384 KB L1 split across the six cores
- 6 MB L2, at 1 MB per core
- 32 MB L3 unified on the compute die
AM5 Socket Footprint
The LGA1718 package drops into A620 through X870E boards without a chipset swap.PCIe 5.0 Lane Budget
Twenty-four usable lanes cover a x16 graphics slot plus dual Gen5 M.2 drives.DDR5 Memory Controller
Two channels run DDR5-5200 at one DIMM per channel, with ECC available on supported boards.65 W Thermal Envelope
Tjmax sits at 95 °C, and the bundled Wraith Stealth handles stock cooling duty.Discrete Graphics Requirement
The F designation removes the integrated GPU, which suits builds that already specify a card.

Why Choose the 7500F
Six Zen 4 cores at 65 W give system integrators a low thermal load per rack unit.
The AM5 socket carries into later chipset generations, which extends board reuse across refresh cycles.
Twenty-four usable Gen5 lanes support a current graphics card and fast NVMe storage without a bifurcation card.
Dropping the integrated GPU removes cost where every build already carries a discrete card.

Bought two units for our office workstations. With 32MB L3 cache, compilation and rendering tasks finish noticeably quicker than our old Ryzen 3 machines. Would recommend for anyone building a mid-range productivity PC on AM5.

Fast delivery. Plugged it into an ASUS TUF board and it recognised immediately with no BIOS fuss. Great chip for 1080p gaming.

The AM5 platform is still pricey on the motherboard side, so budget for that before you buy. The chip itself is excellent value. The 7500F hits 5GHz consistently in our benchmarks and the 65W TDP keeps the power bill reasonable.

Solid CPU. Used it in a budget streaming build for our church media team and it handles encoding plus OBS without dropping frames. Runs cooler than I expected for a 6-core.

Arrived well-packaged in the original AMD box. Installed in a client’s gaming rig and the 5GHz boost keeps frame rates stable. Not the fastest chip around but at this price point it is hard to argue with.

Six cores and twelve threads at 65W is the sweet spot for a compact build. Temperatures stay low even in a small case. Boots Windows 11 in seconds paired with an NVMe drive.

Good value chip for a workstation build. Handles our design team’s Photoshop and Illustrator files without stuttering. Note that there is no integrated graphics, so you need a dedicated GPU or a board with video out — caught me out at first.

Dropped this into an AM5 B650 board with 32GB DDR5 and it booted first time. The 32MB L3 cache makes a real difference in games compared to my old quad-core. Runs cool on the stock cooler too, never saw it above 75 degrees under load.
