Description
Heavy-duty lead-acid battery for commercial and auxiliary power
The Amaron GM2-204T+1-S is a 12 V lead-acid battery with a 204 Ah capacity rating at the 20-hour rate. The model code identifies a GM2 case size with a T-type terminal and a +1-S terminal arrangement. It suits commercial vehicle starting, auxiliary power and stationary backup duties where a high-capacity 12 V block is required.
The battery uses a maintenance-free sealed construction. Calcium-alloy grids reduce water loss across the service life, and the sealed lid limits acid escape during normal operation. The polypropylene case resists vibration and chemical attack in engine bays and equipment enclosures. A flame-arresting vent path controls pressure inside the case during charging.
Terminal posts accept standard clamp connectors, and the T-type post profile provides a large contact area for high-current cranking. The +1-S arrangement places the positive terminal in the position defined by the model code. Verify the terminal layout against the vehicle or equipment harness before installation, because reversed polarity damages alternators and control modules.
Charge the battery with a voltage-regulated charger matched to lead-acid profiles. A typical float voltage sits near 13.6 V at 25 °C, and boost charging should follow the battery datasheet rather than a generic setting. Inspect terminals for corrosion at each service and apply a thin layer of terminal grease after cleaning. Keep the case top dry to prevent surface leakage between posts.
Mount the battery in a restrained tray with the terminals covered. Provide ventilation around the case during charging, even though the battery is sealed. Do not tilt the unit beyond the angle allowed in the installation manual, and never charge a frozen battery. Replace the battery when cranking performance drops or when a capacity test falls below the manufacturer threshold.
Key Features
12 V 204 Ah capacity
The 20-hour rating provides a large energy reserve for starting and auxiliary loads.Maintenance-free sealed construction
- Calcium-alloy grids reduce water loss
- Sealed lid limits acid escape in normal use

Why Choose This Battery
The 204 Ah capacity supports long standby periods and repeated engine starts.
Sealed construction removes routine electrolyte checks from the service schedule.
T-type posts carry high cranking current without excessive voltage drop.
Calcium-alloy grids lower self-discharge during storage.
The polypropylene case resists vibration and common engine-bay chemicals.
