Hydraulic Overhead Closer for Heavy Timber and Steel Doors

The ACM-M60 Door Closer is a hydraulic overhead unit for single-leaf doors weighing 45 kg to 65 kg. It mounts on the frame head above the hinge side and returns the leaf through a parallel arm linkage. An aluminium alloy body houses the rack, pinion and two speed valves.

Maximum door width is 950 mm and the opening arc reaches 180°. Separate valves govern sweep speed and latching speed, so the leaf decelerates before the strike plate. A non-hold-open design returns the door after every cycle. The unit carries no backcheck function.

The body measures 178 x 43 x 61 mm and weighs 2 kg. Tested durability reaches 1,000,000 open-and-close cycles on the manufacturer rig. A silver anodised aluminium finish suits timber, steel and fire-rated leaf assemblies in corridors and plant rooms.

Two through-bolts fix the closer to the frame, and the arm anchors to the leaf face. Installers set the sweep valve first, then the latch valve, then cycle the door to confirm the leaf seats without slamming. The body suits left and right hung doors when the arm is reversed.
