Description
Compact Surface-Mount Junction Enclosure
The 85x85x50 Adapter Box houses cable joints, connectors and terminal blocks in a sealed ABS shell. Eight PG16 and PG21 knockouts accept cable glands on all four sides. Stainless steel cover screws hold the lid against a moulded gasket.
The IP55 rating blocks dust ingress and water jets from any direction. ABS thermoplastic carries a 650°C glow-wire rating for standard type and 960°C for the HF variant. The body measures 85mm wide, 85mm high and 50mm deep, which fits shallow wall cavities and pole brackets.
Internal ribs accept DIN rail and terminal block mounting. The installation temperature spans -40°C to +80°C. Installers use the box for CCTV splices, network cable terminations and low-voltage adapter housing. A flat opaque lid keeps the interior shielded from direct sunlight.
