Description
Maximum Power Point Tracking Regulator for Off-Grid Solar
The 30A MPPT charge controller tracks the maximum power point of a PV array and delivers the harvested energy to a 12V, 24V or 48V battery bank. The auto-detect circuit identifies the system voltage at connection. A multi-stage charging profile manages bulk, absorption and float phases. The unit supports sealed lead-acid, gel, flooded and lithium battery chemistries.
The controller accepts a maximum PV open-circuit voltage of 150V and a maximum charge current of 30A. Input power handling reaches 440W on a 12V system, 880W on 24V and 1,760W on 48V. Conversion efficiency sits above 98% under nominal load. Self-consumption stays under 10mA in standby, which limits overnight drain on the battery.
An LCD screen reports battery voltage, charge current, PV voltage and fault codes. An RS485 port supports remote monitoring over a Modbus link. Protection covers reverse polarity, short circuit, overload, over-temperature and reverse current at night. The die-cast heatsink dissipates heat without a cooling fan, so the enclosure stays sealed against dust and insects.
Mount the controller on a vertical surface with clearance above and below for convection. Connect the battery first, then the PV array, to let the controller establish the system voltage reference. Use cable sized for 30A and torque the terminals to the specified value. A remote temperature sensor compensates charge voltage when the battery sits away from the controller.
The regulator suits off-grid cabins, telecom sites, borehole pumps and backup power panels. It pairs with a 30A-rated DC breaker on the PV input and a fuse on the battery positive. Program the battery type and charge voltage through the front buttons before commissioning. Check the fault log after the first week of operation.
Key Features
Auto-Detect System Voltage
The controller recognises 12V, 24V or 48V battery banks at connection without manual selection.150V PV Input Ceiling
The input stage tolerates up to 150V open-circuit, which allows series strings of several panels.30A Charge Current
- 440W maximum PV power on 12V systems
- 880W on 24V systems
- 1,760W on 48V systems
Multi-Stage Charging
Bulk, absorption and float phases extend battery service life across lead-acid and lithium types.RS485 Monitoring Port
A Modbus-ready RS485 interface supports remote data logging and supervisory control.Fanless Thermal Design
A die-cast heatsink dissipates heat without a fan, keeping the enclosure sealed against dust.

Why Choose This Solar Regulator
The auto-detect voltage stage removes a manual setting step during installation.
A 150V PV ceiling allows series panel strings without exceeding the input limit.
Fanless cooling suits dusty sites where fan bearings would fail prematurely.
RS485 monitoring integrates with Modbus-based supervisory systems.
Multi-stage charging profiles match the battery chemistry at hand.
The LCD shows live parameters without a separate meter.
Lithium support lets the unit serve modern battery packs alongside legacy lead-acid banks.
