2.5 HDD External Case USB 3.0 SATA III Tool-Free UASP Enclosure 5Gbps

Bus-Powered Housing for Bare 2.5-Inch Drives

The 2.5 HDD External Case turns a loose 2.5-inch SATA drive into a portable USB storage unit. It accepts 7 mm and 9.5 mm drive heights and draws power from the host port. No wall adapter is needed for standard laptop drives.

A USB 3.0 Micro-B port links the bridge board to the host at 5 Gbps. The SATA interface runs at 6 Gbps and negotiates SATA I, II and III drives automatically. UASP support cuts command overhead on Windows 8 and later, macOS and Linux. The board also falls back to BOT for older hosts.

The shell measures roughly 125 × 79 × 13 mm and weighs about 60 g empty. A slide-off lid exposes the SATA connector without screws. Side vents move air across the bridge board during long transfers. A blue LED shows link and read/write activity, and the firmware enters a low-power state after 30 minutes idle.
