Analog Display Lead for Legacy and Modern Ports

The VGA Cable 2M connects a VGA output to a monitor, projector or TV across a two-metre run. It carries analog RGBHV video and DDC data through a 15-pin HD15 male connector at each end. The assembly suits desktops, laptops and presentation switchers with legacy ports.

28AWG bare copper conductors handle the RGB, sync and DDC lines. Triple shielding combines aluminium foil, copper braid and a drain wire to reject EMI and RFI. Two ferrite cores clamp common-mode noise at the cable ends, which keeps the image stable near power supplies and switching equipment.

The lead supports 800×600 SVGA, 1024×768 XGA, 1600×1200 UXGA, 1920×1080 Full HD and 1920×1200 WUXGA. Gold-plated contacts resist oxidation across repeated mating cycles. A 7.3mm PVC jacket routes through trunking, and molded strain reliefs protect the solder joints at both plugs.
