Compact USB-C to VGA Conversion for Legacy Displays
The Vention TDDBB VGA adapter links a USB-C host to a VGA monitor or projector through a short captive cable. It terminates in a male USB-C plug and a female VGA (D-SUB) port. Gold-plated contacts resist oxidation across repeated connect cycles.
A conversion chipset, either LT8711X-B or LT8711V depending on production batch, translates DisplayPort Alt Mode output into an analog VGA signal. The adapter drives 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz. It supports mirrored and extended desktop modes. Hosts running Windows, macOS or ChromeOS enumerate it without a driver package.
The cable uses 34 AWG tinned copper conductors inside a 4.2 mm outer diameter. Aluminum foil and braid shielding limit electromagnetic interference near switching power supplies and display backlights. The TPE jacket remains flexible at low ambient temperature. The ABS shell weighs roughly 31 g with the cable attached.
