The Vention USB Ethernet adapter converts a USB 3.0 Type-A port into an RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet interface. It carries the Realtek RTL8153 controller and supports 10/100/1000 Mbps auto-negotiation. The gray aluminum alloy shell measures 60 x 14.4 x 4.2 mm and weighs 26 g.
A fixed 0.15 m TPE-jacketed cable separates the USB-A plug from the RJ45 socket. The USB 3.0 link runs at 5 Gbps, which exceeds the 1 Gbps ceiling of the Ethernet PHY. Nickel-plated contacts and tinned copper conductors handle signal integrity over repeated connect cycles. LED indicators report link status and activity.
The adapter draws bus power from the host USB port and needs no external supply. Driver support covers Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iPadOS, with backward compatibility to USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 hosts.
