USB-C Conversion for Legacy USB-A Ports
The Ugreen US701 adapter turns a rectangular USB-A socket into a USB-C receptacle for data transfer and charging. Two converters ship in the pack, each small enough to leave attached to a cable. The units need no driver installation on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android or iOS.
A USB 3.2 Gen 2 controller inside each shell moves data at up to 10Gbps, twice the 5Gbps ceiling of USB 3.0. Actual throughput tracks the weakest link: a USB 3.0 host caps at 5Gbps and a USB 2.0 port at 480Mbps. The aluminium alloy body spreads heat across its surface during sustained copies.
Charging current reaches 3A, which delivers roughly 18W on Android devices and 7.5W on iPhones. Ugreen rates the connector for 10,000 plug and unplug cycles. Technicians can pair the two units across laptops, car head units and USB-A wall chargers that must accept modern USB-C cables.
