Description
Single-Mode 10G Fibre Uplink Module
The TP-Link SM5110-LR is a 10GBASE-LR SFP+ transceiver that carries 10 Gigabit Ethernet over 9/125µm single-mode fibre. It transmits at 1310nm and reaches 10km in full-duplex links. The LC duplex connector seats in any standard SFP+ cage.
The module pairs a DFB laser transmitter with a PIN-TIA receiver. Output power sits between -8.2dBm and 0.5dBm at 10.3125Gbps, and the extinction ratio holds above 3.5dB. Receiver sensitivity stays below -14.4dBm while overload remains above 0.5dBm.
Digital Diagnostic Monitoring reports temperature, supply voltage, laser bias current and optical power. The host feeds 3.3V through the edge connector and the module draws 0.858W at 10Gbps. Hot-swap support allows insertion without powering down the switch.
Operating temperature spans 0°C to 70°C with 10% to 90% non-condensing humidity. Storage tolerance covers -40°C to 85°C. The metal housing measures 56.7 x 13.9 x 10.35mm. Switches such as the SG3428X and SG3428XMP accept the unit directly on their 10G cages.
