Description
AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 Outdoor Access Point
The TP-Link EAP603-Outdoor delivers dual-band Wi-Fi 6 connectivity for indoor and outdoor deployments, with 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz. It integrates two external omnidirectional antennas and high-power amplifiers for long-range coverage. The unit supports 802.3at PoE+ and passive PoE through the included adapter.
Its two-stream radios operate over 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz with OFDMA and MU-MIMO support. A single Gigabit Ethernet port carries both data and power. The sealed enclosure carries an IP66 rating for wall mounting and IP65 for pole mounting.
Deployment options include wall or pole mounting with included kits. The access point tolerates -30 °C to 70 °C operating temperatures and 6 kV lightning protection. Omada SDN controllers provide centralized configuration and monitoring.

Why Choose EAP603-Outdoor
Dual-band 802.11ax radios with OFDMA and MU-MIMO serve high-density client environments.
Outdoor enclosure and lightning protection reduce service interruptions in exposed locations.
PoE+ and passive PoE options simplify cable runs where AC power is unavailable.
Omada SDN centralizes configuration, monitoring, and firmware updates across multiple sites.

Ordered on a Tuesday and the AP was in our Nairobi office by Thursday morning. Well packed and sealed. Installed it in the reception ceiling last week, and Wi-Fi 6 throughput on the 5 GHz band is a clear step up for the front desk laptops.
Benson Mutiso (verified owner) –
Deployed two units on the boundary wall of our hardware yard in Mlolongo. The IP67 housing shrugged off the long rains, and 5 GHz coverage reaches the far gate where our old APs dropped off. POE+ from a TP-Link switch powered them without extra injectors.

Works well and the AX1800 speeds are genuine, but I found the Omada controller setup a bit fiddly for our small office. Once configured through the app it has been stable for three weeks. Good coverage across a 40 m warehouse aisle.
Njoroge Karanja (verified owner) –
Solid signal through a concrete wall. No complaints.
Achieng Odhiambo (verified owner) –
Reliable outdoor AP. Mounted one under the eave at our guest house in Karen and clients stopped complaining about dead spots on the terrace. The 2×2 MU-MIMO actually holds up with a dozen devices on the guest network.

Our clinic in Thika needed coverage over the parking bay and the outdoor waiting area, and the EAP603-Outdoor handled both. The 12 dBi antennas on the 5 GHz band give predictable reach. Two things I would flag: the mounting bracket takes a bit of patience to align on a pole, and the unit runs warm under direct afternoon sun. Neither was a dealbreaker for us.
