Description
Developer Unit Idler Gear for e-STUDIO Copiers
The Toshiba developer idler gear is the OEM replacement pinion that carries drive from the developer drive train to the mixing and magnetic roller gears. It seats inside the developer assembly on the e-STUDIO 2006, 2506, 2505 and 2307 families. Toshiba lists the part under code 6LJ76587000 and the assembly description GEAR-DEV-IDLER.
The part weighs about 3 g and ships in a 0.16 kg carton with 0.0004 m³ gross volume. Moulded polymer teeth run against the adjacent GEAR-MIXER-1 and GEAR-RLR-MAGT pinions in the same housing. A worn idler shows as uneven toner density, gear noise or a developer unit that stalls under load.
Fitment calls for removing the developer unit from the chassis and lifting the rear gear cover. The idler presses onto its shaft and meshes with the neighbouring pinions without shimming. Inspect the mating gears for worn teeth at the same time, since a failed pinion often damages its neighbours.
Compatibility covers the e-STUDIO 2505, 2505H, 2505F, 2006, 2007, 2307, 2507, 2323AM, 2329A, 2523A, 2523AD, 2823AM and 2829A. Keep one on the shelf for maintenance contracts that cover mixed e-STUDIO fleets.
