DEET-Based Personal Insect Repellent
The Tabard aerosol 70g is a pressurized personal insect repellent formulated with 15% DEET for application to exposed skin. The 70 g tin-plated can delivers a fine mist that covers the target area without heavy wetting. It provides up to 8 hours of protection against mosquitoes, gnats, sandflies, fleas and ticks.
The formulation contains 150 mg DEET per gram of product, with butane and propane as propellants in a 20:80 ratio. Alcohol and perfume complete the base. The spray dries without leaving an oily residue on skin or clothing. The pressurized can maintains consistent output from first use to empty.
Protection time varies by species: 8 hours against Aedes albopictus, 6 hours against Anopheles gambiae, 7.5 hours against Culex pipiens and 7 hours against Ixodes ricinus ticks. Reapply after swimming, heavy sweating or extended outdoor exposure. Store the can below 25°C and away from ignition sources.
