Single-Phase Servo Voltage Regulator

The Servo-Matik 10 kVA stabilizer corrects mains voltage for sensitive single-phase loads in offices, clinics, labs and light industrial plants. It uses a microprocessor-controlled servo motor to drive a toroidal variac. Output holds at 220V, 230V or 240V with 1% to 2% adjustable tolerance.

Input correction ranges cover 130-270V, 130-230V, 160-255V and 180-245V AC, with custom ranges available. Operating frequency spans 45 to 65 Hz. The correction speed reaches 90 to 150 V/s, and recovery time sits at 20 ms. True RMS measurement keeps regulation stable on distorted supplies.

The 10 kVA frame measures 55 x 35 x 27 cm and weighs 57 kg. Efficiency reaches 98% at full load. A manual bypass switch selects between mains and regulated output for maintenance. Overload handling allows 100-125% load for 10 minutes, 126-150% for 60 seconds, 151-199% for 10 seconds and above 200% for 3 seconds.

Protection covers output overload, output short circuit, output high and low voltage, and optional neutral-ground fault detection. Surge protection is built in. A dry contact interface reports normal operation and voltage alarms through NO, C and NC terminals. Optional RS485 supports remote monitoring over a network.

Installation requires a ventilated indoor position at least 30 cm from walls. The enclosure carries IP20 rating and operates from -10°C to 50°C at 0% to 95% non-condensing humidity. Altitude rating reaches 3000 m. Acoustic noise stays below 50 dB, which suits open-plan technical rooms.

Commissioning follows a defined sequence. Connect input and output cables to the marked terminals, confirm earth continuity and set the output voltage on the front panel. Switch the bypass to mains, energise the unit and verify the display readings. Then move the selector to regulator and monitor the output under load before handing over.

Periodic service includes cleaning the variac track, checking brush wear and tightening terminal screws. Replace the servo motor brushes when the correction speed drops. Keep the fan filter clear where a cooling fan is fitted. Record input and output voltages monthly to spot drift.
