Description
Angled Single Mode Fiber Jumper
The SC APC OS2 2m patch lead links single mode ports across a short simplex run. An 8-degree angled ferrule on both ends suppresses back reflection into transmitters. Yellow LSZH jacketing marks the OS2 grade at a glance.
9/125µm G.657.A2 fiber carries 1310nm and 1550nm traffic across the assembly. Each connector holds insertion loss at or below 0.3 dB and return loss at or above 60 dB. The 2.0mm cable diameter suits high-density patch panels and shallow cable managers.
SC push-pull housings latch without a tool and release on the outer shell. Technicians can route the cord through 1U enclosures and FTTx ONT cabinets. Operating range spans -20 to 70°C, and the LSZH sheath limits smoke and halogen output in occupied rooms.
Every assembly is tested against IEC 61300-3-4 for attenuation and IEC 61300-3-6 for reflectance. APC endfaces require clean mating surfaces, so inspect and clean both ferrules before connection. The yellow jacket separates this single mode lead from multimode stock in a mixed rack.
