Description
OfficePoint 650VA Back-Up UPS
The OfficePoint Back-Up UPS 650VA provides essential power protection for entry-level workstations, networking hardware, and point-of-sale systems. This line-interactive power supply mitigates the risks associated with voltage fluctuations and total power loss. It utilizes integrated Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to stabilize unstable utility power without depleting the internal battery. The unit supports a maximum load of 360W. Its compact chassis design facilitates installation in space-constrained IT environments. The system provides immediate backup power during outages to prevent data loss and hardware damage. Users monitor system status through clear LED indicators and audible alarm signals.
Key Features
Automatic Voltage Regulation
The internal Buck and Boost AVR technology corrects input voltages ranging from 140V to 300V to maintain a steady 230V output.Microprocessor Control
A high-speed microprocessor manages all switching and diagnostic functions to ensure a transfer time of less than six milliseconds.Intelligent Battery Management
- Deep discharge protection prevents permanent cell damage during extended outages.
- Overcharge protection extends the overall service life of the 12V/7Ah lead-acid battery.
- Automatic self-testing identifies battery degradation before failure occurs.
Cold Start Capability
The system allows for manual power-up using the battery even when AC utility power is completely unavailable.Standardized Protection
Built-in circuitry shields connected equipment from high-voltage surges, short circuits, and overload conditions.

Why Choose OfficePoint 650VA
The 360W capacity supports standard desktop configurations for sufficient time to execute a graceful shutdown.
Universal output sockets provide compatibility with multiple plug standards without requiring specialized adapters.
Silent operation during normal utility mode ensures suitability for quiet office or residential environments.
The 4.2kg weight and small footprint allow for easy placement on desks or small network shelves.

It does the job for a basic office setup, but be careful not to overload it as 360W is strictly for light electronics. The alarm beep is quite loud when the power goes off, which can be annoying in a quiet room, but at least you know it’s working. Good entry-level UPS for the price, just don’t try to plug in a heavy laser printer.

Living in an area where power trips are common, this OfficePoint UPS has been a lifesaver for my desktop and router. It gives me enough time (about 10-15 mins) to save my work and shut down properly when KPLC decides to take their break. The build is solid and it doesn’t make too much noise while charging. Good value for money if you’re working from home in Nairobi.

Delivery to Westlands was very fast, arrived the next day. The 650VA unit is compact and fits well under my small office desk. It handles my monitor and CPU without any issues during brownouts. Only giving 4 stars because the power cable it comes with is a bit short for my setup, but otherwise, it works exactly as advertised.

Genuine product. It has saved my PC from several surges already. Definitely worth the price for the protection it offers.
