Description
Intel B760 Micro-ATX Platform for LGA 1700 Builds
The MSI PRO B760M-E supports Intel Core 14th, 13th and 12th Gen processors, plus Pentium Gold and Celeron chips, on the LGA 1700 socket. Two DIMM slots accept up to 64 GB of DDR4 memory in dual-channel mode. The board uses the Intel B760 chipset and measures 200 x 236.16 mm in the micro-ATX form factor.
A PCIe 4.0 x16 slot wired to the CPU carries the primary graphics card. A PCIe 3.0 x1 slot from the chipset accepts a sound card, capture card or network adapter. The M.2_1 slot runs PCIe 4.0 x4 or SATA drives at 2280, 2260 and 2242 lengths. Four SATA 6 Gb/s ports support RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 arrays.
Realtek RTL8111H Gigabit LAN handles wired networking. The Realtek ALC897 codec drives 7.1-channel high-definition audio through the rear jacks. HDMI 1.4 and VGA outputs serve processors with integrated graphics. Rear I/O provides four USB 2.0 ports and two USB 5Gbps Type-A ports; front headers add another four USB 2.0 and two USB 5Gbps ports.
Key Features
LGA 1700 Processor Support
The socket accepts Intel Core 14th, 13th and 12th Gen CPUs alongside Pentium Gold and Celeron models.DDR4 Memory Architecture
- Two DIMM slots support dual-channel operation and up to 64 GB total capacity.
- XMP profiles unlock overclocked speeds up to 4800 MHz on single-rank modules.
PCIe 4.0 Graphics and Expansion
The primary x16 slot runs at PCIe 4.0 from the CPU; a chipset-fed x1 slot takes low-bandwidth cards.Storage Flexibility
- The M.2_1 slot accepts PCIe 4.0 x4 or SATA drives in 2280, 2260 and 2242 lengths.
- Four SATA 6 Gb/s ports support RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 for bulk storage.
Networking and Audio
Realtek RTL8111H Gigabit LAN and the ALC897 7.1-channel codec cover wired networking and analog audio.EZ Debug LED Diagnostics
Four LEDs report CPU, DRAM, VGA and boot device faults during POST.

Why Choose the PRO B760M-E DDR4
Dual DDR4 slots and XMP support allow cost-controlled builds without sacrificing memory bandwidth.
The PCIe 4.0 x16 link feeds current graphics cards at full Gen4 bandwidth.
Four SATA ports and RAID options suit NAS and workstation storage layouts.
EZ Debug LEDs shorten fault isolation during bench builds and field service.
The 200 mm width clears most micro-ATX chassis without cable routing conflicts.

Bought this for a home-office build with a 12th Gen i5. The two M.2 Gen4 slots let me run a fast boot drive plus a scratch disk, and 4800MHz DDR4 memory support is fine for the workload. BIOS fan curve control is basic but functional.

Small form factor board that fits our compact cases without trouble. Runs cool under light office loads.

Decent micro-ATX board. The 64GB DDR4 ceiling and four SATA ports cover most of what we need for admin workstations. Would be nice to have more rear USB ports, but the four front headers help.

Paired this with a 13th Gen i3 for a school computer lab build. The RTL8111H Gigabit LAN works fine on our network and the USB 5Gbps ports handle the peripherals well. No driver issues on Windows 11.

Delivery to our Thika Road office took a couple of days and the board arrived in sealed packaging. Only two DDR4 slots, so I would plan memory upgrades carefully, but for a standard workstation build it is fine.

Board works well for our reception PCs. HDMI 2.1 and VGA outputs mean we could keep the older monitors and still add a new display. Good value micro-ATX option.

Used this MSI PRO B760M-E board in a budget office build with a 12th Gen i5 and it has been rock solid for three weeks. The two M.2 Gen4 slots are a nice touch at this level, and the DDR4 support kept the memory cost down. BIOS posted first time without any fuss.
