Description
Standby Power for Branch Offices and Racks
The Mercury Elite 3000U SMART supplies 3000 VA / 1800 W of standby power through four universal outlets. Four 12 V 9 Ah sealed lead-acid blocks sit inside the tower chassis. A USB port feeds status data to monitoring software for unattended shutdown.
An automatic voltage regulation stage corrects sags and swells between 140 V and 300 V AC without draining the battery. Transfer to battery takes 2 to 6 ms, and the output holds 220–240 V AC at 50 or 60 Hz. The modified sine wave suits switch-mode supplies, chargers and networking hardware.
The front LCD reports load percentage, battery bars and fault codes. Protections cover overload, short circuit, overcharge, deep discharge and surge. Recharge runs 6 to 8 hours to 90 percent. The 12.7 kg tower measures 39 × 22.5 × 12.5 cm and ships with a UK plug.
Key Features
3000 VA / 1800 W Real Capacity
The active-power rating carries several workstations, a switch stack or a CCTV recorder on one unit.Automatic Voltage Regulation
- Steps up brownout-level input and steps down surges without switching to cells.
- Cuts discharge cycles, which extends the service interval of the internal battery set.
USB Monitoring Interface
Status polling and safe shutdown scripts run over the USB link on Windows and Linux hosts.Four Universal Outlets
Each socket accepts UK, EU and US plug types, so mixed equipment needs no adapters.Generator-Tolerant Input Window
The wide 140–300 V AC range absorbs the voltage and frequency drift of small standby generators.Field Service Details
- Resettable input circuit breaker recovers from overload without a fuse change.
- Automatic restart reapplies power to loads when utility supply returns.
- Periodic self-test flags a weak battery before runtime collapses.

Why Choose the Elite 3000U
The 1800 W active rating covers a small server cabinet, a retail POS cluster or a branch network rack.
AVR regulation limits battery cycling during repeated voltage sags, which protects the sealed blocks from early wear.
Universal outlets accept multiple plug standards, so mixed hardware fleets deploy without adapters.
USB telemetry supports graceful shutdown on hosts that carry no network management card.
The tower footprint fits under a desk or inside a shallow wall cabinet, and the front panel stays readable.
Automatic restart restores connected equipment once mains power returns after an extended outage.

Picked this up for our cyber cafe in Ruiru. The 3000VA rating runs four desktops and a printer without tripping. UK plug on the input is fine because our wall sockets take it. Happy so far.

Four 9Ah batteries is what sold me — runtime is noticeably longer than my old 2000VA unit. USB port works with the monitoring software on Windows 11. Build feels heavy but the tower sits flat.

Arrived well packaged in two days to Thika Road. Tested it with the fridge briefly — not the intended use, I know — but the 1800W handled the startup. Back to the home office now.

Runs a small server cabinet and two VoIP phones for the branch. Offline topology is fine for us since the switchover is quick enough not to drop the call. Would have liked a rack-mount kit in the box, but it works as a tower.

Simple and heavy. Universal sockets take both my UK and EU plugs which helps with imported equipment.

We bought three for a clinic in Ngong. The alarms are audible enough during outages and the USB monitoring lets the IT guy track battery health from one PC. Two-year warranty was a factor in choosing it. One unit arrived with a slightly loose socket plate — tightened it with a screwdriver, no real issue.

Good unit but the fan noise is audible in a quiet room. Works well for the shop POS system where there is background noise anyway.

The 1800W rating is real — I ran a laser printer plus three workstations and it held. Battery pack of four 9Ah units explains the weight and the runtime. Very good for a small office that cannot afford a full online UPS.
