Description
34-Inch Curved WQHD Gaming Display
The LG UltraGear 34GP63A-B is a 34-inch ultrawide gaming monitor with an 1800R curved VA panel and a 3440 x 1440 native resolution. It targets simulation, racing and productivity setups that need horizontal screen space and a 160Hz refresh ceiling.
The VA panel produces a 3000:1 static contrast ratio and 300 cd/m² typical brightness. sRGB coverage reaches 99% at CIE1931, and an 8-bit driver yields 16.7 million colours. Viewing angles measure 178° horizontal and vertical at CR≥10.
Connectivity includes two HDMI inputs and one DisplayPort 1.4 input. The DP path carries the full 160Hz refresh; HDMI caps at 85Hz. A 3.5mm headphone jack handles audio output, and the built-in 7W x 2 speaker pair uses MaxxAudio processing. An external adapter supplies 100-240V AC.

Quick start guide
Why Choose the 34GP63A-B
The 3440 x 1440 canvas replaces a dual-monitor pair with one continuous 21:9 surface.
DisplayPort 1.4 carries 160Hz for high-frame-rate titles; FreeSync Premium removes tearing.
The 3000:1 native contrast holds black levels in dark scenes better than IPS panels of similar size.
Height and tilt adjustment align the screen with seated eye level without a separate arm.
Dual Controller shares one keyboard and mouse across two connected PCs for mixed-workstation desks.
The 100 x 100mm VESA pattern supports wall mounting and multi-arm layouts.

The HDR10 mode lifts contrast in supported games, though the panel brightness is modest for a true HDR experience. DisplayPort 1.4 drives the full 160Hz without issues and the USB-A hub handles my keyboard and headset. Stand wobbles slightly, but the picture quality makes up for it.

Bought it for the home office and the extra width replaces a dual-monitor setup. The built-in RJ-45 port is a real bonus for wired connection on a laptop that lacks Ethernet. Delivery to Nakuru took four days and the box was well padded.

The 3440 x 1440 panel with the 1800R curve wraps the field of view nicely for racing and flight sims. The 160Hz refresh keeps panning smooth and I have not noticed ghosting. Text at WQHD is sharp enough for spreadsheets too.

Good screen. Speakers are average.
