Description
Simplex Multimode Fiber Pigtail
The LC multimode pigtail terminates one end of a 1 m simplex fiber with a factory-fitted LC connector and leaves the other end blunt for splicing. The 0.9 mm tight-buffer construction strips cleanly for fusion or mechanical splices. Each unit is factory polished and tested before packing.
The 50/125 µm multimode fiber carries 850 nm and 1300 nm signals and matches OM3 and OM4 backbone links. The LC connector uses a zirconia ceramic ferrule with PC polish. Insertion loss stays at or below 0.3 dB, and return loss reaches 30 dB or better across the mated pair.
The 900 µm buffer splices directly inside an ODF tray without a breakout kit. The fiber bends to a 30 mm static radius and a 50 mm dynamic radius. Operating temperature spans -40 to 75°C, storage spans -45 to 85°C, and the assembly follows TIA/EIA-568-C.3 and IEC 61755-3-1.
Key Features
Factory-Terminated LC Connector
A zirconia ceramic ferrule and PC polish sit inside a push-pull LC housing that latches into standard duplex adapters.Simplex 900 µm Construction
One tight-buffered fiber runs the full 1 m length with a 0.9 mm outer diameter that fits standard splice trays.Splicing-Ready Blunt End
- Strips to 250 µm cladding for fusion splicing in field cabinets.
- Accepts mechanical splices where fusion equipment is unavailable.
- Colour-coded buffer eases fiber identification in multi-tail trays.
Controlled Optical Loss
Insertion loss at or below 0.3 dB and return loss of 30 dB or better keep link budgets predictable.Bend-Limited Routing
The 30 mm static bend radius protects the buffer when tails coil inside tight ODF enclosures.Multimode Compatibility
The 50/125 µm core and cladding mate with OM3 and OM4 transceivers at 850 nm and 1300 nm.

What’s in the Box
1 m simplex LC multimode fiber tail
Protective dust cap on the LC ferrule
Why Choose This Fiber Tail
The factory-polished LC end removes field connectorisation work from the splice tray.
A 900 µm buffered tail splices straight onto incoming cable without a fanout kit.
The 1 m length reaches across a 1U panel and leaves slack for coiling.
50/125 µm glass supports existing OM3 and OM4 transceiver optics.
Low insertion loss keeps total channel loss within 10GBASE-SR budgets.

Juliet Atieno (verified owner) –
One metre length was enough for the tray.
Patrick Njoroge (verified owner) –
Spliced clean, buffer tube strips easy.
Fredrick Mwangi (verified owner) –
LC connector seated well on the adapter.
