Huawei S380-H8T3ST Multi-Service Gateway 2x GE WAN 8x GE LAN 500 Users

Multi-Service Gateway for SME Aggregation

The Huawei S380-H8T3ST gateway combines routing and switching in a 1U chassis for branch and SME aggregation. It provides two GE WAN copper ports, one GE SFP WAN port, and eight GE LAN ports. The platform supports up to 500 users with 2 Gbps egress bandwidth.

A 16 Gbps switching capacity and packet forwarding rates of 500 Kpps upstream and 420 Kpps downstream handle sustained traffic across access and aggregation layers. The built-in wireless access controller manages up to 128 eKit access points, which centralises wired and wireless policy on one device.

AC power is built in with a 90–264 V input range and natural heat dissipation. The metal chassis supports rack, desk, or wall mounting, and operates from 0°C to 40°C at altitudes up to 1800 m. Typical power draw is 11.25 W.

Key Features

• Flexible WAN Architecture
Two GE copper WAN ports and one GE SFP WAN port provide fibre and copper uplink options; one LAN port can convert to WAN for up to four WAN connections.

• Integrated Routing and Switching
A single 1U appliance handles Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing for branch networks, reducing separate device count and cabling complexity.

• Centralised Access Point Control

  • Manages up to 128 eKit access points from the local controller.
  • Applies consistent forwarding, security, and user policies across wired and wireless clients.

• 500-User Capacity
The forwarding plane supports 500 concurrent users and 2 Gbps egress throughput for small and mid-sized office, hotel, and education networks.

• Deployment Flexibility
The metal enclosure mounts in a 19-inch rack, on a desk, or on a wall, and natural heat dissipation removes the need for chassis fans.
