Description
Dual-Band 802.11ax Coverage Without a Ceiling Drop
The Huawei AP263 wall-plate installs into a standard in-wall box and puts a Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) radio pair inside hotel rooms, consulting offices, clinics and classrooms. It serves the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands at the same time and keeps all cabling concealed behind the faceplate.
Both radios run 2×2 MU-MIMO, giving four spatial streams and a combined device rate of 2.975 Gbps. The 5 GHz radio reaches 2.4 Gbps across 160 MHz channels with 1024-QAM modulation; the 2.4 GHz radio carries 575 Mbps. OFDMA scheduling and BSS colouring cut co-channel contention where units sit close together.
A GE port accepts PoE-in from an 802.3af/at switch, and a second GE port feeds a wired endpoint such as an IP phone or room display. Peak draw is 12 W, or 41 BTU/hour of heat. A 12 V DC input covers sites that have no PoE switching available.
Deployment does not demand a dedicated controller. The unit runs in Fat, Fit, cloud or leader AP mode, and iMaster NCE-Campus manages groups of units centrally. The CloudCampus app reaches the radio through the built-in BLE 5.0 console for on-site verification.
Key Features
Wi-Fi 6 on Both Bands
Two 2×2 radios deliver 575 Mbps at 2.4 GHz and 2.4 Gbps at 5 GHz for a 2.975 Gbps aggregate.Smart Internal Antennas
Built-in arrays steer gain toward active clients, with 2 dBi per chain at 2.4 GHz and 3 dBi per chain at 5 GHz.Gigabit Uplink and Downlink
One GE port carries PoE-in and data; the second GE port connects a wired client on the same cable run.Dual Power Options
802.3af/at PoE-in or a 12 V DC adapter drives the 12 W load, so no local mains outlet is needed.IoT Expansion Port
A USB 2.0 Type-A port supplies 5 W to ZigBee or RFID modules for room-level IoT services.Bluetooth Console Access
The integrated BLE 5.0 radio provides a serial console for app-based onboarding and radio diagnostics.Four Management Modes
Fat, Fit, cloud and leader AP operation cover stand-alone sites and centrally managed campuses.Wired and Wireless Security
WPA3, WPA2-PSK, WEP, 802.1X, portal and SMS authentication are supported on the wireless side.Compact Wall-Plate Chassis
The 160 x 86 x 38 mm housing weighs 320 g and mounts to a desk, wall, ceiling or 86-type junction box.Surge and Environment Ratings
The PoE port withstands 6 kV common-mode surges, and the unit runs from 0 °C to 40 °C at 5% to 95% RH.

Why Choose AP263
The in-wall form factor reuses the existing junction box and hides cabling, so installers avoid ceiling access work.
Four spatial streams with 160 MHz support push near-3 Gbps aggregate throughput for room-level client density.
PoE-in plus a downlink GE port collapses the access point and a wired device onto one switch port.
Bluetooth console access lets a technician verify radios and onboard the unit from a phone on site.
The USB port with 5 W output hosts ZigBee or RFID modules for access control and asset tracking.
