The Huawei S110-24LP2SR is a Layer 2 unmanaged switch that carries data and DC power to endpoints over standard twisted-pair cabling. It provides 24 gigabit copper downlinks and two gigabit SFP uplink slots inside a 1U metal enclosure built for rack, desk or wall installation.

Each copper port runs 10/100/1000BASE-T and supplies IEEE 802.3at PoE+ from a shared 124 W budget, enough to feed IP cameras, access points and VoIP handsets across a single cable pull. Two GE SFP cages accept optical transceivers for fibre runs to a distribution switch or core uplink.

A built-in AC power supply accepts 90 V to 300 V AC input and draws 24 W with no powered devices attached. Full PoE load peaks at 165 W. Natural convection cooling removes the fans entirely, so the unit operates without acoustic noise in occupied workspaces.

Hardware and Deployment Detail

The chassis measures 43.6 x 442.0 x 260.0 mm and weighs 3.2 kg, with surge protection rated at 6 kV in both differential and common mode. A front-panel DIP switch selects operating behaviour without any console session, which keeps commissioning to a physical inspection and a cable test.

Forwarding follows a fixed Layer 2 pipeline: 52 Gbit/s switching capacity, 38.69 Mpps packet rate and an 8K-entry MAC table. The switch stores and forwards frames at line rate on all 24 gigabit ports simultaneously, so uplink oversubscription stays the only design constraint.
