Description
13.5-Inch 3:2 Touch Assembly for Spectre x360 Convertibles
The HP Spectre 14-EF screen is a 13.5-inch touch assembly for the Spectre x360 convertible family. It pairs a 1920 x 1280 IPS panel with a bonded capacitive digitizer on a 30-pin eDP harness. The 3:2 canvas yields 171 pixels per inch and full sRGB coverage.
Resolution stops at 1920 x 1280, so this part replaces the standard 400-nit non-OLED lid only. HP also shipped a 1000-nit Sure View variant and a 3000 x 2000 OLED panel on a 40-pin cable. The connector count separates them at the bench.
The bonded stack removes the air gap between cover glass and LCD, which cuts internal reflections under office lighting. A 1500:1 static contrast ratio holds dark text against white spreadsheet cells. The panel renders 16.7 million colours and measures 89 degrees on all four viewing axes.
Key Features
1920 x 1280 WUXGA+ Panel
The 3:2 active area gives 171 PPI across a 13.5-inch diagonal.Bonded Capacitive Digitizer
Glass and image layer arrive as one sheet, restoring tap and pen input in a single fitting.30-Pin eDP 1.4 Interface
Two-lane embedded DisplayPort carries video and touch signalling over the original harness.400-Nit IPS Backlight
The standard-brightness panel suits indoor desks and lecture halls without Sure View privacy filtering.Variant Identification Points
- 30-pin harness plus 1920 x 1280 output confirms the non-OLED 400-nit lid
- 40-pin harness and 3000 x 2000 output identify the OLED build
- 1000-nit Sure View units share the 30-pin count but differ by part suffix
Bezel and Board Transfer
The plastic bezel casing and digitizer board are not supplied, so technicians move them across from the damaged lid.

Why Choose the 14-EF Panel
A matched 400-nit assembly clears cracked glass and dead touch in one service visit rather than two.
The 3:2 ratio shows 20 percent more vertical rows than 16:9 at the same width, which helps ledger and PDF review.
sRGB coverage keeps colour consistent for design review without a calibration pass.
Two-lane eDP at 1.4 revision matches the factory harness, so no adapter or firmware change is required.
Converting a convertible back to full tablet mode restores the hinge-and-pen workflow staff depend on.
Spare lids kept on the shelf shorten turnaround for fleet units under accidental damage cover.
