Description
Convertible Ultrabook with Thunderbolt 3 and FHD Touch
The HP Spectre 13-ac is a 13.3-inch convertible notebook with a 360-degree hinge and an FHD IPS touch panel. It targets mobile professionals who need a light chassis and Thunderbolt connectivity. The CNC aluminium body weighs 1.32 kg and measures 13.9 mm closed.
An Intel Core i5-7200U runs two cores and four threads from 2.5 GHz to 3.1 GHz with 3 MB cache. Eight gigabytes of LPDDR3-1866 memory sit onboard and do not accept upgrades. A 256 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD handles storage, and Intel HD Graphics 620 drives the display.
Two USB 3.1 Type-C Gen2 ports carry Thunderbolt 3 at 40 Gb/s with Power Delivery and DisplayPort 1.2. A single USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A port and a combo audio jack complete the I/O. Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 cover wireless links, and a 57.8 Wh battery feeds the system.

The 13.3-inch FHD touchscreen is bright and sharp, and the 360-degree hinge works smoothly whether I’m using it as a laptop or tablet. The i5-7200U handles my daily office work without strain. Build quality is impressive for a machine this thin.
Victor Ochieng (verified owner) –
Bought this for design work and the FHD panel is colour-accurate enough for my needs. The 256GB SSD keeps things snappy. Only note is that 8GB LPDDR3 is soldered, so plan ahead if you need more memory later.

Light, portable and the touchscreen is responsive. Perfect for my campus work.

Convertible form factor is handy for presentations in client meetings. Flip it into tent mode and it works well as a display for showing slides. The keyboard is comfortable for its size and the backlight helps in dim rooms.
Catherine Atieno (verified owner) –
Arrived quickly and was well packaged. The touchscreen and hinge both feel solid. Battery life is decent for a machine of this age but not exceptional — I get about five hours of mixed use. For the price it’s a solid 2-in-1.
Dennis Kipruto (verified owner) –
For a 7th-gen machine, this still performs well for browsing and document work. The build is excellent and the screen quality is a cut above standard laptops. Would have liked 16GB RAM, but for general office use 8GB is sufficient. Battery health on my unit was still good.
