The Epson TM-U220IIB receipt printer is a serial impact unit built for busy counter and kitchen output. USB and powered serial interfaces sit on the same chassis. Epson fits the auto cutter at the factory, so the unit cuts after every job without extra parts.
A 9-pin print head reaches 4.7 lines per second at 40 columns and 16 cpi. The 1 KB data buffer holds queued jobs while the host sends the next order. Drop-in loading accepts 76 mm, 69.5 mm and 57.5 mm rolls wound on 83 mm cores.
The bundled AC adapter feeds 24 V DC to the board. Operating range spans 0 °C to 50 °C at 10 to 90 percent relative humidity. Base mounting holes allow wall or under-counter fitting where counter depth is tight.
