Description
Gigabit Network Interface for CL-S Label Printers
The Citizen IF5-ES04 LAN card adds a wired Gigabit Ethernet port to compatible CL-S series label printers. It installs as an internal plug-in module and removes the need for a shared USB host. The card carries part number PPS00476 and supports 10/100/1000Base-T links.
An RJ-45 port handles network traffic at up to 1000 Mbps. A single USB 2.0 Type-A port remains available for local peripherals. The module uses a Marvell 88F3710 processor with 256 MB of RAM and 32 MB of flash storage. Citizen supplies drivers for Windows, macOS and Linux.
The interface fits CL-S521, CL-S621 and CL-S700 printers in Type I and Type II builds. Administrators can place the printer on a managed VLAN and monitor it over SNMP. HTTPS and SSL/TLS support protect configuration pages and status queries. The card draws power from the printer mainboard and needs no external adapter.
Installation requires opening the printer casing and seating the module on the option connector. Power off the unit and disconnect mains before fitting. Reassemble the casing, connect the RJ-45 patch lead and assign an address through the printer menu or the web interface. Print a configuration page to confirm link speed and firmware version.
