SIP-T31G Desk Phone
The Yealink SIP-T31G is a Gigabit Ethernet IP phone in the classic T31 series aimed at desks that need faster LAN pass-through than the 100 Mbps T31P variant. It registers to SIP servers and hosted VoIP platforms, presenting a two-line graphical interface with physical navigation keys. Network administrators choose the T31G when downstream PCs or soft appliances require full gigabit throughput on the built-in switch port.
Audio paths support wideband codecs for clearer speech on supported trunks and handsets. The monochrome or graphical display—per Yealink regional SKU—shows call timers, missed calls, and programmable soft keys. Power can come from PoE switches or local adapters depending on your site standard. Auto-provisioning via HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, or TFTP speeds mass rollout across floors.
Do not confuse this model with the T31P, which caps Ethernet at Fast Ethernet speeds. The T31G badge specifically signals gigabit PHY on the phone and PC port, which matters when you measure throughput to workstations connected behind the phone. Security teams can enforce TLS for provisioning and SRTP where the call server supports encrypted media.
