Description
Long-Run SVGA Monitor Lead for Projectors and Displays
The VGA Cable 10M is a male-to-male HD15 assembly for linking a PC, laptop, or dock to a projector, monitor, or wall plate across a long run. It uses a 3+6 conductor layout with coaxial RGB lines and separate sync pairs. Both ends carry a standard 15-pin D-sub plug with thumbscrews.
The coaxial RGB conductors run at 75 ohms to match the analogue video impedance of VGA ports. This keeps colour timing intact over the full 10 m span. The assembly carries 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz, 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz, and 1280 x 1024 at 75 Hz without visible ghosting on typical office displays.
Ferrite beads at each connector suppress high-frequency noise picked up along shared trunking. Foil and braid layers cover the signal bundle, and the PVC jacket measures 8 mm across. The cable weighs 780 g and tolerates 0 °C to 50 °C in ceiling voids and floor boxes. Gold-plated pins resist corrosion on contacts that stay mated for years.
Installers should avoid coiling the surplus length tightly behind a wall plate. A coil forms an inductor and can soften edge detail at 1080p. Route the slack in a loose figure-eight instead, and keep the run clear of mains cable where possible.
Key Features
HD15 Male to Male Termination
Both ends use a standard 15-pin D-sub plug with thumbscrews for tool-free fixing at the port.3+6 Conductor Layout
- Three coaxial lines carry red, green, and blue video
- Six discrete conductors handle horizontal sync, vertical sync, and DDC data
- Separate sync pairs reduce cross-talk against the video lines
75 Ohm Impedance Match
The coaxial elements hold the impedance that analogue VGA transmitters expect across the full length.Dual Ferrite Cores
Beads moulded at each connector absorb common-mode noise from nearby power and network cabling.Foil and Braid Shielding
Combined shielding layers limit EMI ingress on long runs through shared containment.Gold-Plated Contacts
Plated pins and sockets resist oxidation on permanently mated projector and monitor ports.

Why Choose This SVGA Lead
The 3+6 layout keeps analogue colour timing stable across a full 10 m run.
Ferrite beads and dual shielding protect the signal in shared cable trays.
Gold plating holds contact resistance low on fixed projector installations.
Thumbscrews secure the plug so the cable resists pull-out in ceiling mounts.
An 8 mm jacket fits standard 20 mm conduit and floor box entries.
The assembly needs no adapters or signal booster on 1080p office displays.
