Description
Compact USB and Ethernet Expansion
The Vention USB 2.0 Hub splits one host port into three USB-A sockets and a 10/100 Mbps RJ45 jack. It carries a 0.15 m captive cable and draws extra current through a micro-USB input rated 5 V/2 A. The ABS shell fits easily into a laptop bag or desk drawer.
USB 2.0 downstream ports run at up to 480 Mbps, and the Ethernet controller negotiates 10 or 100 Mbps links. Nickel-plated contacts resist wear, while tinned copper conductors sit under aluminium foil and a metal braid. The TPE jacket stays flexible at the short 0.15 m length.
A micro-USB power input accepts 5 V/2 A to feed high-draw peripherals such as 2.5-inch drives and charging phones. The unit weighs 86 g and carries an LED status indicator. Drivers cover Windows XP through 10, Linux and macOS without manual installation.
Key Features
Three USB-A Downstream Ports
Each female socket accepts keyboards, mice, flash drives and card readers at USB 2.0 signalling rates.Integrated 100 Mbps Ethernet
The RJ45 socket provides a wired 10/100 Mbps link for laptops that lack a native network port.Micro-USB Auxiliary Power
- A 5 V/2 A micro-USB input supplements host bus power on power-hungry devices.
- External power supports hard drives up to 8 TB capacity.
- The port also charges phones without occupying a downstream socket.
Shielded Cable Construction
Tinned copper conductors, aluminium foil and metal braid suppress interference across the 0.15 m lead.LED Status Indicator
A single lamp confirms power and link activity at a glance.Driver-Free Compatibility
Windows XP through 10, Linux and macOS recognise the hub and network controller without manual drivers.

Why Choose the CHPBB Hub
The combined USB and Ethernet layout removes the need for two separate dongles on a travel kit.
Micro-USB auxiliary input keeps 2.5-inch drives stable where bus power alone falls short.
Foil and braid shielding limits crosstalk beside monitors, docks and power supplies.
The 86 g ABS body survives daily transport without a protective case.
Driver-free operation suits mixed Windows, Linux and macOS fleets with no deployment steps.

Works fine on my desk, though the short cable means the hub hangs off the side when the laptop port faces the wrong way. Nothing wrong with the hub itself, just plan the orientation.
Lilian Muthoni (verified owner) –
Ordered on a Monday and it arrived by Wednesday, well packed. The metal-looking shell has held up in my bag for a few weeks now.
Consolata Akinyi (verified owner) –
Good unit but the USB ports are 2.0, so don’t expect fast transfers for large files. For keyboard, mouse and network it works fine.
Fredrick Ochieng (verified owner) –
Bought it for a site laptop that only has USB-C. Combined with a C-to-A adapter it covers both network and my barcode scanner without any fuss.
Damaris Wangui (verified owner) –
The Ethernet port auto-negotiates to 100M and worked straight away on my office switch, no driver install needed on Windows 11.
Veronicah Nyambura (verified owner) –
Reliable for wired network access during meetings where the Wi-Fi is congested. Small, light and does the job.
Nahashon Mburu (verified owner) –
Gives my slim laptop a wired LAN port and three extra USB ports from one connection. The 0.15m stub means it sits flush against the chassis instead of dangling.
Stephen Njoroge (verified owner) –
Handy little thing. Plugged a printer and a USB headset into it plus the Ethernet cable, and the hub handled all three without dropping the network link.
