Description
Legacy VGA to Modern HDMI Conversion
The Vention VGA to HDMI adapter takes an analog VGA signal from a laptop, desktop or projector and outputs digital HDMI at up to 1920 × 1080 at 60 Hz. It adds a 3.5 mm audio input so sound travels with the video over the HDMI link. A female micro-USB port accepts 5 V power for stable conversion.
The MS9282 converter chip handles the analog-to-digital translation with low power draw. A male VGA connector sits on one end and a female HDMI socket on the other, with the 3.5 mm jack and micro-USB port on the same housing. The 0.15 m cable keeps the adapter close to the source device without cable clutter.
An aluminum alloy shell dissipates heat and shields the internal circuit from interference. The unit measures 150 × 45 × 11 mm and weighs 69 g. It works without drivers on Windows, Linux and macOS hosts, and the HDMI output feeds monitors, TVs and projectors that lack VGA inputs.
Key Features
Unidirectional VGA to HDMI Conversion
The adapter converts VGA input to HDMI output only; it does not pass HDMI signals back to VGA.Full HD 1080p Output
The converter supports 1920 × 1080 at 60 Hz plus 720p, 1600 × 1200 and 1280 × 1024 modes for legacy displays.Audio and Video Synchronisation
- A 3.5 mm female jack accepts analog stereo from the host and embeds it in the HDMI stream.
- The bundled audio cable connects the host headphone port to the adapter.
- Audio and video stay aligned without a separate sync adjustment.
Micro-USB Power Input
A female micro-USB port accepts 5 V to supplement bus power and prevent black screens or signal dropouts.MS9282 Converter Chip
The MS9282 handles analog-to-digital conversion with low latency and reduced flicker on the HDMI output.Aluminum Alloy Housing
The metal shell shields the circuit from electromagnetic interference and spreads heat away from the chip.Plug-and-Play Operation
The adapter requires no drivers or software on Windows 7 through 10, Linux or macOS.

Quick start guide
Why Choose the ACNBB Converter
The unidirectional design moves legacy VGA sources onto HDMI displays without a separate scaler.
The 3.5 mm input embeds stereo audio into the HDMI stream, so presentations carry sound over one cable.
Micro-USB power support prevents signal dropouts on long VGA cables and low-power host ports.
The aluminum shell and foil shielding hold the 1080p signal steady beside power adapters and AV racks.
Driver-free operation suits mixed Windows, Linux and macOS fleets with no deployment steps.

We use this in the school computer lab to connect older machines to newer HDMI projectors. The 0.15m cable length is fine for hanging directly off the back of a monitor. You need the USB power supplied, so I bought a few short USB adapters to keep the setup neat. Output is stable at 1080p and the audio port works with the projector speakers. It is a simple converter but it solves a real problem for old hardware. Build quality is decent and the connectors seat well.

Came well packed and the cable is short as advertised, which keeps the setup tidy. Works on my old Lenovo desktop.

I use this for converting a CCTV DVR VGA output to an HDMI display in our shop. The signal has been stable over weeks of continuous use, no flicker. The audio breakout is handy since the DVR also outputs sound to the monitor speakers.

Small and works fine. Does the job.

Bought this to hook an older laptop to a projector in our church hall. The 1080p output looks sharp enough for slides and video clips. You must remember to plug in the USB power, otherwise the screen stays blank. Once that is done it works reliably.

Used this to connect an old desktop PC with only VGA output to a modern HDMI monitor at the office. It worked first time after I plugged in the micro USB for power. The audio port also carried sound through to the monitor speakers, which I did not expect at this size.
