USB-C to HDMI Video Output
The UGREEN USB-C to HDMI adapter converts a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 display output into an HDMI 2.0 signal for monitors, projectors and TVs. It supports resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz. The unit carries HDCP 2.2 for protected streaming content.
An integrated controller handles the DisplayPort 1.2a alt-mode stream from the host and converts it to HDMI. Video formats include RGB and YCbCr at 4:4:4, 4:2:2 and 4:2:0 sampling. Audio passes through as 8-channel LPCM, AC-3 or DTS at up to 24-bit/196 kHz.
The aluminum alloy housing measures roughly 40 x 21 x 8.9 mm and weighs about 30 g. It draws power from the USB-C bus, so no external supply is needed. Plug-and-play operation requires no drivers on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android or iPadOS.
Compatibility covers hosts that output DisplayPort over USB-C, including Thunderbolt 3 and Thunderbolt 4 ports. Samsung DeX and Huawei PC Mode output 1080p at 60 Hz through this converter. The HDMI 2.0 link carries up to 18 Gbps across four TMDS lanes and reads EDID automatically.
