HDMI to Analogue Display Converter

The Ugreen MM105 VGA adapter translates a digital HDMI stream into analogue VGA for older monitors and projectors. A CH7101B conversion IC performs the handshake and timing conversion internally. The unit needs no driver installation and draws its operating current from the HDMI source.

The input uses a male HDMI connector, and the output is a female DE-15 VGA port. Signal flow runs one way only, so the device cannot feed VGA into HDMI. Supported timings cover 480p, 576p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p, plus 1024×768, 1280×720, 1600×1200 and 1920×1080 at 60Hz.

Audio does not pass through the converter. The HDMI audio channels terminate inside the housing, and the VGA interface carries RGBHV video only. Technicians route sound separately through the host 3.5mm jack or a dedicated audio extractor when a projector needs it.

The 16cm cable and 25cm overall length keep the assembly close to the source port. Tinned copper conductors with a galvanised brass braid limit electromagnetic pickup from nearby power cabling. An ABS shell and environmental jacket protect the internal PCB during transport between meeting rooms.
