Description
HDMI to USB Video Capture Device
The UGREEN USB capture card converts an HDMI signal into a USB video stream for recording or live production. It accepts up to 4K at 30 Hz on the input and delivers 1080p at 60 Hz to the host. The aluminum housing weighs 30 g and needs no external power supply.
The CM716 uses a 2-in-1 USB-A and USB-C male interface. An intelligent chip moves data at up to 480 Mbps with low latency and synchronized audio. The HDMI port supports YCbCr 4:4:4 at 4K30 and falls back to lower modes automatically.
Driver installation is not required on Windows 8.1/10, Linux, or Android. The unit draws bus power from the USB port and runs UVC-compliant software such as OBS, XSplit, and QuickTime Player. iPadOS 17 or later works; iPhone does not support UVC.

I stream church services every Sunday and this capture card has been reliable. The HDMI input takes the feed from the mixer at 1080p60 and OBS picks it up without a driver install. Both the USB-A and USB-C ends work on my laptop and the media PC. Picture is clean, no dropped frames over a two-hour service.
Faith Kilonzo (verified owner) –
Plugged it into my MacBook with the USB-C end and it worked straight away in QuickTime. Delivery to Kilimani was quick.
Mercy Nekesa (verified owner) –
Used it to capture footage from my camera to the laptop for a small editing job. Works as described, 1080p60 output is smooth. The aluminum body is a nice bonus.
Brian Waweru (verified owner) –
Bought this for recording gaming sessions. The 1080p60 output is what I needed, no lag on the preview in OBS. One thing to note: the HDMI input is 4K30, so if you feed a 4K signal it downscales to 1080p, which is fine for my use. Good little unit.
Samuel Njuguna (verified owner) –
Good capture card for the price range. I use it to record tutorials from a second PC and the footage is crisp at 1080p60. The dual USB-A and USB-C connectors are handy because I switch between my desktop and laptop. No complaints so far after three weeks of use.
