Description
Compact USB-C Multiport Hub for Desktop and Mobile Use
The Ugreen CM498 7-in-1 USB-C adapter expands a single USB-C port into seven practical connections for laptops, tablets and desktop systems. It combines two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, HDMI, VGA, Gigabit Ethernet, SD and TF card readers, and a 100W USB-C PD input in one bus-powered chassis.
The HDMI output drives up to 3840×2160 at 60Hz, while VGA supports 1920×1080 at 60Hz for legacy projectors and monitors. Both video outputs run at the same time, so users can mirror or extend a desktop across a modern display and an older panel without swapping adapters.
Gigabit Ethernet auto-negotiates 10/100/1000Mbps and provides a stable wired link for large file transfers, VoIP calls and managed switch ports. The PD input accepts up to 100W from a USB-C charger and passes power to the host while the hub stays bus-powered.
Key Features
Seven Ports from One USB-C Connection
Combines two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, HDMI, VGA, RJ45, a dual-slot card reader and a USB-C PD input on a single bus-powered adapter.USB 3.0 Data Throughput
Moves data at up to 5Gbps per Type-A port and stays backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 peripherals.Dual Display Output
- HDMI supports 4K UHD at 60Hz with HDCP 2.2 for protected content.
- VGA supports 1920×1080 at 60Hz for projectors and older monitors.
- Both outputs can mirror or extend the desktop at the same time.
Gigabit Wired Networking
The RJ45 port negotiates 10/100/1000Mbps automatically and reports link status through standard OS drivers.100W Power Delivery Pass-Through
Accepts a USB-C PD charger and routes power to the connected laptop while the hub draws what it needs from the host.SD and TF Card Access
Dedicated SD and microSD slots read both cards simultaneously for photo and video offloads.Driver-Free Operation
Works with Windows, macOS, Linux and Chrome OS over USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode; no external power supply is required.

Quick start guide
Why Choose Ugreen CM498
Replaces a bag of single-function dongles with one multiport adapter for hot-desking and field work.
Aluminium alloy shell spreads heat during long PD charging and continuous Ethernet use.
VGA plus HDMI keeps older conference-room projectors in service alongside 4K panels.
Bus-powered design removes the need for a separate power brick on the USB-C dock.
Plug-and-play drivers ship with the OS, so the port expander deploys without admin tooling.

The VGA port is a lifesaver—our office projector is still on VGA, and this hub connects to it plus HDMI for my monitor at the same time. Ethernet is stable and the 100W PD keeps my laptop charged. Glad I grabbed one while stock lasted.
Moses Kipchumba (verified owner) –
Compact and well built. SD and TF slots both work, and file transfers over USB 3.0 are fast. Delivery to Nakuru took a few days but it arrived well packaged.
Ann Wairimu (verified owner) –
Does the job, though the HDMI output occasionally drops when the laptop is under heavy load. Reseating the cable fixes it. Otherwise the VGA and Ethernet have been dependable for presentations.
Daniel Otieno (verified owner) –
Having both HDMI and VGA on one hub is rare, and it’s exactly what I needed for a mixed setup at work—new monitor on HDMI, old projector on VGA. The RJ45 gives me a solid wired connection for video calls, and the passthrough charging means one cable does everything. Solid buy.
