WiFi 7 Ceiling Access Point
The UniFi U7 Pro XGS (U7-PRO-XGS) is a ceiling WiFi 7 access point with eight spatial streams, a dedicated spectral scanning radio, and a 10/5/2.5/1 GbE wired uplink. It is not U7-Pro, U7-Pro-Wall, or U7-Pro-Outdoor. Adopt it in UniFi Network. Multi-gig Ethernet matters because WiFi 7 radios can outrun a 1G drop. Spectral scan helps the controller see interference without using a client-serving radio for that task.
Additionally, 6 GHz (where licensed and enabled) adds a clean band for WiFi 7 clients. Therefore survey DFS and 6 GHz rules for Kenya before enabling those channels. However, older 2.4/5 GHz-only clients still share the AP. Consequently, keep a density plan: one XGS does not replace a proper grid of APs. PoE class is high on this SKU; use a PoE++ or the injector Ubiquiti specifies, not a 15 W 802.3af port.
