2K QHD Indoor Pan/Tilt Surveillance Camera
The TP-Link Tapo C225 is a 2K QHD indoor pan/tilt camera built for room-level surveillance. It records 2688 x 1520 pixel video at up to 30 fps from a 1/2.9-inch progressive scan starlight CMOS sensor. A 4.3 mm lens with an F1.6 aperture holds detail in low light.
The motorised head sweeps 360 degrees horizontally and 149 degrees vertically, so a single unit covers an entire room. On-device machine learning classifies people, pets and vehicles, and reacts to baby cries, dog barks, cat meows and breaking glass. H.264 compression keeps 2K streams practical over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, while RTSP and ONVIF output feed third-party recorders.
A 12 V DC adapter supplies the 5 W typical draw from a 100-240 V input. The housing rests on a shelf or bolts to a ceiling using the supplied plate and screws. Footage writes to a microSD card of up to 512 GB or to the Tapo Care cloud service. A privacy button physically rotates the lens away from the room.
