TP-Link Deco X20 AX1800 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System (3-Pack)

AX1800 Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Platform

The TP-Link Deco X20 AX1800 distributes Wi-Fi 6 across four to six-bedroom homes using three mesh nodes. Each unit carries two Gigabit Ethernet ports with WAN/LAN auto-sensing and supports wired backhaul.

The dual-band radio set delivers 1,201 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz under 802.11ax. Internal antennas, beamforming and BSS Color extend reach, while OFDMA and MU-MIMO schedule parallel traffic from more than 150 clients.

Three nodes cover up to 5,800 square feet across floors and outbuildings. Each unit runs from a 12V adapter and operates between 0°C and 40°C. The Deco app handles setup, guest access, parental controls and firmware updates.

Key Features

• Dual-Band AX1800 Throughput
The 5 GHz radio reaches 1,201 Mbps and the 2.4 GHz radio reaches 574 Mbps under 802.11ax.

• Two Gigabit Ports Per Node
Each unit provides two RJ45 ports with WAN/LAN auto-sensing for modems, switches and wired clients.

• Optional Ethernet Backhaul
Wired links between nodes cut wireless overhead and hold throughput steady across floors.

• WPA3 and HomeCare Security
The platform supports WPA3-Personal, an SPI firewall, antivirus and malicious site filtering.

• Beamforming and BSS Color

  • Concentrates signal energy toward active clients.
  • Reduces co-channel interference from neighbouring networks.

• MU-MIMO and OFDMA Scheduling
Both features serve several devices in the same transmission window instead of queuing them.

• Seamless Roaming
The mesh protocol hands clients between nodes without dropping the session or forcing a reconnect.

• Deco App Management
The mobile app configures the network, sets parental controls, builds guest SSIDs and pushes firmware updates.

• Guest Network Separation
Dedicated 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz guest SSIDs isolate visitor traffic from internal hosts.
