Description
Blackwell Graphics Card for Workstations and Gaming Rigs
The PNY GeForce RTX 5080 ships as the ARGB EPIC-X RGB Overclocked Triple Fan model, built on NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture. It pairs 16 GB of GDDR7 memory with 10,752 CUDA cores for rasterisation, ray tracing and compute work. A factory overclock lifts boost clock to 2.78 GHz.
The 256-bit memory bus runs at 30 Gbps and yields 960 GB/s of bandwidth. The board occupies a three-slot footprint and links to the host over PCI Express 5.0 x16. Three DisplayPort 2.1b outputs and one HDMI 2.1b output drive up to four displays at 7680 x 4320.
Total graphics power reaches 360 W, and the vendor recommends an 850 W system supply. A bundled 16-pin to three 8-pin adapter feeds the card from standard PSU cabling. The triple-fan heatsink pushes air through a dense fin stack, while addressable RGB lighting is configurable in software.

Why Choose the EPIC-X Model
- Blackwell graphics card design targets both CAD rendering and high-refresh gaming at 4K.
- 16GB GDDR7 frame buffer keeps large scene assets and AI models resident on the card.
- Triple-fan gaming GPU layout sustains boost clocks under sustained compute loads.
- PCIe 5.0 graphics card interface matches current workstation platforms without a lane bottleneck.
- DisplayPort 2.1b outputs feed ultra-wide panels and multi-display walls from one slot.

Picked this up for a workstation build doing 3D renders and video edits. The 16GB GDDR7 handles large scenes without spilling to system memory. Card is long though, so measure your case before ordering.

Ordered for our design studio and it arrived well packed with the anti-static bag intact. Three DisplayPort outputs let us run two monitors plus a capture card without a splitter. Fans ramp up during long GPU renders but nothing alarming. Only downside is the card takes up a fair bit of clearance near the front intake.

Running this in a mid-tower with an 850W unit and the 16-pin connector seated fine with the bundled adapter. DisplayPort 2.1b drives my 4K panel at high refresh without issues. Triple fan stays quiet under load in a Nairobi room with no aircon.
Dennis Kiptoo (verified owner) –
Solid card, coil whine is minimal on my unit and the ARGB syncs with the board software.

Upgraded from an older 30-series and the frame gains in 1440p are noticeable. The EPIC-X cooler holds temperatures steady during long gaming sessions. Do budget for a proper 850W PSU because this card asks for it.
