Description
RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN
The MikroTik RB4011iGS router is an indoor wireless router that combines ten Gigabit Ethernet ports, an SFP+ uplink, and integrated dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi in a compact desktop chassis. It differs from the RB4011iGS+RM, which ships without wireless radios. Model RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN targets branch offices, managed service deployments, and high-throughput home labs that need wired density and local WLAN on one RouterOS platform.
Processing power comes from an Annapurna Labs Alpine AL21400 quad-core CPU running at 1.4 GHz on a 32-bit ARM architecture. The unit carries 1 GB of RAM and 512 MB of NAND storage. RouterOS v7 ships preinstalled with license level 5, which unlocks advanced routing, firewall, VPN, and wireless features without a separate software purchase. IPsec hardware acceleration supports encrypted tunnel workloads at rates documented by MikroTik for this platform.
Wired connectivity centers on ten 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports managed through a Realtek RTL8367SB switch chip. Ports are grouped in two sets of five, each behind the switch, and support Auto MDI/X. Ethernet1 accepts passive PoE input from 18 to 57 V DC. Ethernet10 provides passive PoE output up to 57 V for powering downstream access points or radios. A dedicated SFP+ cage adds 10 Gbps fiber or copper uplink capacity when paired with a compatible module.
Wireless coverage uses two independent radio paths. The integrated 5 GHz radio employs a Qualcomm QCA9984 chipset with four transmit chains and four spatial streams, supporting 802.11a/n/ac at up to 1733 Mbps aggregate data rate. The 2.4 GHz band runs on a removable R11e-2HnD miniPCI-e card with two chains, delivering 802.11b/g/n at up to 300 Mbps for legacy clients. External antennas provide 3 dBi gain on both bands with 360-degree coverage. Combined Wi-Fi class is AC2000.
Power flexibility supports a 12 to 57 V DC barrel jack or passive PoE on port 1. Maximum draw reaches 44 W when PoE-out is active on port 10, or 23 W without downstream PoE load. Passive cooling and a metal enclosure suit rack-adjacent desk placement. Operating temperature is rated from -40°C to 45°C. An RJ45 serial console port defaults to 115200 baud for out-of-band recovery.
RouterOS enables VLANs, bridge filtering, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, CAPsMAN controller mode, and hotspot services on this hardware. The international -IN variant supports 2412 to 2484 MHz on 2.4 GHz and 5150 to 5875 MHz on 5 GHz, subject to local regulatory limits. Kenya deployments should confirm allowed channels before outdoor or high-power use.

Why Choose RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN
Ten Gigabit ports and SFP+ uplink consolidate branch routing without a separate switch for small office LANs.
Integrated 4×4 5 GHz and 2×2 2.4 GHz radios remove the need for an external access point in compact deployments.
Passive PoE-out on port 10 powers a downstream MikroTik CPE or AP from the same chassis.
Quad-core AL21400 CPU and IPsec acceleration support VPN-heavy MSP and enterprise edge roles.
RouterOS v7 license level 5 delivers full routing, firewall, and wireless controller capability on day one.

Ten gigabit ports and SFP — this is the Wi-Fi model, not the RM. Running RouterOS for a small ISP pop in Nakuru.
Mary Wacera (verified owner) –
Dual-band 802.11ac covers our office and guest VLAN cleanly. RouterOS learning curve is real but power is unmatched at this price.
Andrew Mutiso (verified owner) –
Solid metal chassis. Uptime has been excellent since install.
Sarah Njenga (verified owner) –
Replaced two cheaper routers with one RB4011. SFP uplink to fibre, rest of ports for APs and switches. Wi-Fi is auxiliary for us — wired performance is the main win. Confirm you need the IN variant with wireless before ordering.
