Description
13.3-Inch Business Ultraportable Platform
The Lenovo ThinkPad X390 is a 13.3-inch business ultraportable that pairs an 8th Gen Intel Core i3-8145U processor with 8 GB of soldered DDR4 memory. Lenovo builds this model for hot-desking, travel and meeting-room use. The chassis measures 311.9 x 217 x 16.5 mm and starts at 1.18 kg with the carbon-fibre lid.
The 13.3-inch FHD IPS panel resolves 1920 x 1080 with an anti-glare finish and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Intel UHD Graphics 620 drives the internal panel and supports external output up to 4096 x 2160 over HDMI 1.4 or USB-C. A 128 GB M.2 PCIe NVMe solid-state drive holds the operating system and working files.
Connectivity covers two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port with video output, and one Thunderbolt 3 port. Intel Wireless-AC 9560 handles 802.11ac plus Bluetooth 5.0. The internal 48 Wh battery carries a rated runtime of up to 19 hours on the i3 non-vPro configuration under JEITA 2.0.

Why Choose the X390
The 13.3-inch business laptop footprint fits airline trays and shared desks without dropping the FHD panel.
Thunderbolt 3 gives the Core i3 machine a single-cable dock path for dual displays and wired Ethernet.
Soldered DDR4 and an NVMe system drive remove the two most common field failures in a travelling fleet.
ThinkShutter and the IR camera let staff cover the lens physically while keeping face sign-in available.
MIL-STD-810G screening and a 1.18 kg start weight suit pool devices issued across multiple sites.

Reliable for daily office use. The 8GB RAM is adequate for my work, though I would not push it with heavy multitasking.
Mercy Nyambura (verified owner) –
Light and portable, easy to carry to meetings. The 128GB SSD fills up quickly if you store a lot of files, but for cloud-based work it is fine. Screen is sharp and bright.
Esther Muthoni (verified owner) –
Great little machine for the office. Lightweight and the keyboard is comfortable.
Joseph Mutiso (verified owner) –
The ThinkPad keyboard alone makes this worth it. I type reports all day and it is comfortable. The i3-8145U is not a powerhouse but handles spreadsheets and email fine. Delivery was quick and the laptop arrived in good condition.
Peter Kariuki (verified owner) –
The build quality on this X390 is what you expect from a ThinkPad, solid hinges and a keyboard that is a pleasure to type on. The 8th gen i3 handles my office work and browsing without lag. Battery holds up well for a full working day.
Samuel Ouma (verified owner) –
Ordered this for my small business and it has been reliable for three weeks now. Fast boot times thanks to the SSD, and the 13.3-inch screen is a good size for travel. Limited stock is a concern if you need multiple units, but the unit itself is solid.
Daniel Kipchirchir (verified owner) –
Solid business laptop. The 13-inch form factor is convenient for travel between Nairobi and Eldoret. Battery life is decent and the screen is clear. The 128GB storage is a bit tight, but I use external drives for large files.
