Description
OfficeJet Pro 7720 Wide Format
The HP OfficeJet Pro 7720 provides high-volume wide-format printing capabilities for small to medium business environments. This inkjet system supports media sizes up to A3 (11 x 17 inches) while maintaining a compact footprint suitable for desktop placement. It integrates scanning, copying, and faxing into a single networked peripheral. The architecture utilizes thermal inkjet technology to produce professional-quality documents with water-resistant pigment inks. Consequently, this device serves as a versatile solution for marketing materials and architectural drafts.
Key Features
Wide Format Versatility
The printing engine supports media up to 297 x 432 mm for posters and spreadsheets.High-Speed Document Processing
- Delivers ISO speeds up to 22 ppm in black and 18 ppm in color.
- Includes a 35-page automatic document feeder for hands-free scanning.
Enterprise-Grade Connectivity
- Built-in Ethernet and dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n for stable networking.
- Supports mobile printing via AirPrint, Mopria, and the HP Smart App.
Additionally, the hardware features a 250-sheet input tray to minimize manual intervention during large print cycles. Therefore, IT professionals can deploy this unit in workgroups requiring consistent output without frequent maintenance. The integrated 2.65-inch color touchscreen provides a direct interface for managing print jobs and system diagnostics. However, for remote administration, the Embedded Web Server (EWS) allows for detailed configuration of IP settings and security protocols. The system supports automatic duplex printing for A4 and letter-sized documents to reduce paper consumption.
The scanning module utilizes a Contact Image Sensor (CIS) with an optical resolution of 1200 dpi. It facilitates digital workflows through scan-to-email and scan-to-network folder capabilities. Regarding cost efficiency, the printer uses four individual ink cartridges, allowing users to replace only the specific color exhausted. High-yield 953XL cartridges are available to further lower the total cost of ownership. The device is designed for a monthly duty cycle of up to 30,000 pages, ensuring reliability under standard business loads. Consequently, it remains a robust choice for departments needing both standard and large-format output.
