The HP Envy 13-BF pairs a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1250U processor with 16 GB of LPDDR4x-4266 memory and a 512 GB PCIe NVMe SSD. A 360-degree hinge converts the 13.3-inch touch panel between laptop, tent, stand and tablet modes. HP rates the chassis from 1.3 kg and fits it inside a 1.61 cm profile.
The 13.3-inch WUXGA IPS touchscreen renders 1920 x 1200 at 400 nits with 100% sRGB coverage and Corning Gorilla Glass NBT. Intel Iris Xe graphics drive external displays over Thunderbolt 4 or HDMI 2.1. Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 and Bluetooth 5.2 handle wireless links, and a microSD reader sits on the side.

The 512GB SSD is fast and the laptop boots in seconds. The speakers are louder than I expected from a thin machine. One thing to note is that the fan spins up noticeably during heavy video calls, but it settles quickly. The aluminium finish has held up without scratches in my bag.
